This original concert work written by Greg Gilpin was commissioned by the Ohio Music Educator's Association and is energetic and stunning in its multi-metered writing. The Latin setting moves from crisp rhythms to legatosections, unison to homophonic singing. A wide range of dynamics is used throughout and the percussion adds excitement with the syncopated piano accompaniment. The addition of a flute adds sparkle to this outstanding concertselection available in multiple voicings.
