Created in 2000, this work for children's choir and large orchestra was transformed by the Australian composer into the present version with piano accompaniment in 2008. Even in the reduced and condensed version, the representation of living in and experiencing the sea, of diving and floating in the water has been brilliantly realised and maintained. Hymnic, resounding strains, some of a minimalist nature, carry the voices of the children to a high intensity of sound.
