From Lias' National Parks Series, ...Into the Blue is his musical distillation of the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site (Cornish, New Hampshire). The three main sections of the piece are connected by cello solos and performed as one continuous movement. Three movements describe the pastoral setting, several of the monuments, and the famous "Masque of Ours," a performance by the artist community to honor their patron.
