Inspired by Boulez’s multi-cello piece “Messagesquisse” and John Scofield’s inspired funk number “Protocol”, “Shift, Trip” is an unrelenting moto perpetuo for amplified cello and pre-recorded guitars, brass and percussion. Althoughchoreographed early on the piece is designed to stand alone.
