Cantate Domino is a popular text for choral music settings because it has a joyous feel. Sonja's setting is up tempo, bright and rhythmic. She has captured the feel of the text in her jubilant keyboard part as well as in the syncopation of the vocal parts. Sonja uses wonderful harmonies in this work, some of them a bit unexpected.
