These volumes contain chorale settings by Heinrich Scheidemann (c. 1595-1663). Scheidemann studied with Sweelinck in Amsterdam 1611-1614 and worked as organist at the church of St Katherine in Hamburg for a good three and a half decades from 1629. The new edition contains two additional new works, the chorale fantasias 'Allein zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ' and 'Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott'.
